Thanks, I will be doing a load of baking on xmas eve may add these to the list:rudolf:
  • :snow_grin Well I couldn't wait, I've made two already.

    THIS IS REALLY DELISH!!!

I've made it with an ounce less sugar and it works perfectly as the marzipan and cherries add a lot of sweetness. One I made with dried cranberries (very seasonal:xmastree: ) and the other with sultanas.

There is, however, a serious risk of expanding waistlines  .............

    Love a charity shop bargain
  • Hi, I made this yesterday and it is really lovely. It would make a good alternative to rich fruit xmas cake for children and could be covered with glace icing.

Thanks that sounds really nice. Now if only I could find the 3/4 of a pack of marzipan I had left from doing the christmas cake.
