This Competition is open to all persons who;
a. are aged 18 and over ;
b. are resident in the UK ;
c. have purchased at least 5 nights Bed & Breakfast accommodation double occupancy (or 10 nights Bed & Breakfast accommodation single occupancy) in a standard room or higher at a Richardson Hotel of Distinction over the course of the year 1 October 2007 to 30 September 2008 ; (a mix of double/single occupancy will be accepted using the substitution rate of two nights single occupancy to one night double occupancy e.g. 4 nights double occupancy and two nights single occupancy would qualify)
d. have registered to enter the competition at https://www.richardsonhotels.co.uk and completed the question and tiebreaker set out in 4 below ;
This Competition is not open to;
e. Richardson Group's employees or members of their immediate family, agents or any other person who is connected with the creation or administration of this competition.
2. The Competition and these rules are governed by English Law.

5. This competition will commence on 1st October 2007 at 00.01 GMT and will close on 30th September 2008 at 23.59 GMT. The winner will be the person who correctly answered the question and is judged to have given the best tiebreaker response, or if no one is correct, who is judged to have given the best tiebreaker response. All decisions of the independent judge (details available on request) will be final and binding on the competitors and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. The winner will be notified at the address, telephone number or email address given in the contact details within 14 days of the closing date of the competition. Any entrant may check the result of the competition at our website https://www.richardsonhotels.co.uk 21 days after the closing date.
7. The winner will be required to produce a copy of their passport to the Promoter to confirm their identity & age and receipts/invoices demonstrating that they have met the eligibility requirements set out in 1. above. The winner will also be required to provide photographs for use in future marketing by the Promoter. Following receipt and verification of the details above by the Promoter, the winner will be contacted via post regarding details of their prize.
8. The prize for this competition is a 4 day / 3 night cruise (subject to weather conditions) aboard the luxury motor yacht MY. Grandlady for 6 people, to include all food, accommodation, fuel, beverages served with meals, full use of the boat's facilities and sporting toys, services of captain and crew and mooring charges. If forecast weather conditions prevent the cruise taking place on the booked dates, the cruise will have to be postponed and rearranged.
9. Should the winner not wish to take up the prize detailed in 8. above, no cash alternative will be offered. Failure to acknowledge the intention to accept the prize within 4 weeks of notification of winning may result in disqualification.
10. Acceptance of the prize by the winner gives the Promoter the right to use the prize-winner's name, personal photograph both immediately after their win and in the future, unless prohibited by law.
11. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the competition, for any reason, before the designated closing date. In these circumstances the Promoter reserves the right to transfer the customer's entry into another competition for a prize equal or greater than the value of that of the cancelled competition. The Promoter also reserves the right at its sole discretion to extend the closing date on any time limited competition.
12. The Promoter makes no representations except for liability for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Promoter, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss suffered or sustained to person or property including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods by any person to the prize-winner and, where applicable, to any family/persons accompanying the winner, or in connection with any of the competitions promoted by the Promoter.
13. No responsibility will be accepted for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, for any computer, telephone, cable, network, electronic or internet hardware or software malfunctions, failures, connections, availability, for the acts or omissions of any service provider, internet, accessibility or availability or for traffic congestion or unauthorised human act
14. Data Protection Notice: Any personal data that you supply to the Promoter, will be used by the Promoter (i) to administer the competition; and (ii) (unless you tell us that you prefer not to receive direct marketing) to contact you about other competitions or about other goods and services which the Promoter considers may be of interest to you.
15. In the case of any disputes regarding these rules, the decision of the Promoter will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
16. For the avoidance of doubt the parties do not intend any provision of these conditions to be enforceable by a third party pursuant to the Contracts (Rights for Third Parties) Act 1999 or analogous legislation"�.

    Ooops I entered but I haven't stayed in any of their hotels.. and nor am I likely to :D
