E:20/06 Win Tickets To See The Who At Wembley Arena

The Who have announced The Charlatans as their very special guests for their London Wembley Arena shows.

The Wembley Arena homecoming shows are part of a full European tour kicking off in Lisbon and visiting 14 different countries and 28 cities throughout the summer. These dates are the first in the UK and continental Europe since the release of their critically acclaimed album ‘Endless Wire’ the band’s first studio release in over two decades.

Announcing the dates, Pete Townshend commented, "It goes on and on and on and on and on. It gets better and better and better and better. It is more and more fun. But this chapter is over in July 2007 so if you want to catch the new Who at their most effective for twenty years, come and join us."

Roger Daltrey was equally effusive saying, "It’s great to have been around for this length of time and still be playing new material, having it so well received and people liking the music. Life doesn't get any better than that!"

Anticipation for the tour is already running at an all-time high following the incredible critical and box-office response to the Who’s European festival shows last summer. Fans and critics alike have hailed the show as being, “Just like the good ole days,” with the same, unbridled power and emotion that exemplifies a Who show.

The Who, famous for their powerful music and energy on stage, have been performing songs from their new mini rock opera, ‘Wire & Glass’ and material from their newly released studio album ‘Endless Wire’ along with their greatest hits and rarities, to the satisfaction of long-time fans.

Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey will be joined on stage for this tour by John ‘Rabbit’ Bundrick on keyboards, Pino Palladino on bass, Zak Starkey on drums and Simon Townshend on guitar and vocals.
