I'd like to resurrect this if possible for my Mum's 50th, does anyone have any other ideas? Preferably free or V cheap.
I've got Tena sample on way and anti aging cream sample.
I also ordered some 'over 50s' brochures from Catalink for free.
Going to buy rain hood.
Thanks,
Janine0 -

How about a 'Survival Kit'? I did one of these recently for a friends 50th, found most of the items around the house, and it went down really well. Some of the things I used are listed below along with the poem I stuck onto the box I used.
Crayon to colour all your days bright & sunny
Marbles in case they start to lose theirs
Torch to help to see you through in case you get those dark days
Rubber band to remind you to stay flexible
Teabag to remind you to take a break
Guardian angel because everyone needs one. (I printed off a picture)
Eraser to remind you to always start each day with a clean slate.
Cotton wool ball to cushion any bumpy roads ahead.
A match to light your fire when you're feeling burned out.
A gold thread to tie your friendship together glitter - to add some sparkle to your life.
A tennis ball to relieve your anger – throw it at someone
Pencil to write down your thoughts before you forget them!
Small box of bran flakes to get you going in the morning
Battery to give you that extra charge to keep going & going & going
Paper clip to help keep things together when they seem to be getting out of control.
Piece of string for when you reach the end of your rope this will keep you going a bit longer. Sandpaper to help you file away the rough spots of life
A penny so you will never have to say, "I’m broke".
Whistle for when you've fallen and you can't get up
Magnifying glass to help you when you read
Rubber band to give you your flexibility back
Aspirin for all the new little aches and pains
Bath oil to relax daily and count your blessings
Now you’ve reached the age of 50
- I’ve done this for you
An ‘Everyday Survival Kit’
to help to see you through
In case you get those dark days
when things just don’t seem right
To remind you - at the end of each tunnel.
There’s always a light
So if you’re feeling gloomy ,or just a little sad
You’ll look at all these things
and know that life ain’t all that bad!
Hope you can read it ok............0 -
