Hi everyone
ok the situations is I brought some christmas stuff through Studio Catalogue
and they state a £20 minimum payment fee per payment so I planned it out when I had the extra money £50.50p I paid it so that got bill to £85 I then made another payment which was due 27th March and I have it In my online Account saying its in Studio Bank on this day. a payment of £45 i made..
today I recieve "over due Account payment" warning letter with £82.89 to pay including a £20 admin charge and £2.15 service charge totalling me to £105.04p
I called them saying I have already paid £45 on 27th March and keep in mind was over the bank holiday days !
I also was not well to get out and had to transfer money from 1 account to another and did a bank payment, they claim they don't reccommend that way of payment and it will take up to 6 weeks to find my £45 payment unless I can get a statment to prove I paid, also they can't take the £22.15 off but can give me as a "guesture of good will" £20 voucher to spend more money on there catalogue !!:mad:
surely £20 charge is not allowed !! please help me i made a payment plan to stick to and clear one debt at a time i now feel crap n down

Not sure if it's any help, but I bought a couple of things from them before Christmas. I got a statement in December, just for insurance cover, so I called them and said I didn't want insurance cover, and they said that they would cancel this.
January another statement came, for the goods this time, and with the insurance refunded, but with a £20 charge for late payment.
This £20 was for late payment of the December statement, for insurance that I cancelled.
I called them and told them they were not getting the £20, and that they would not be getting any more custom from me.
I was told they would waive the £20 this time as a gesture of goodwill. I told them where to stick their goodwill.
All I can offer as help is, don't back down, insist that they take that payment off if you have made it.
If you have it in your online account, can you copy and paste that to an email and send it off to them?
Also insist on them taking the £22.15 off of your account, you paid on time, so they have no right to charge this, and you don't have to accept goods to the value.
Just keep at them, otherwise they will just do what they want.0 -
Studio are muppets!!!! Pay off what you owe and get rid of them:mad: I had similar dealings with them a few years back, with them saying I still owed cash, i didnt and had the payment slips to prove it!!!0

Studio are well known for this. I stopped using them about 8 years ago when I got a red overdue letter before the statement! :mad:0
