Pasta & stollen

As I'm just getting into this using leftovers and wasting less can anyone give me some good ideas to use up leftover cooked pasta and stale stollen.
I like shop bought pasta salads but have never had any luck in making any myself so any ideas would be useful.
Also have Stollen, only I like it in the house and its starting to go stale again any ideas would be appreciated.

I can't help you with the stollen but we always cook extra pasta as we love using it the next day. It either goes with a salad: just chuck it in with whatever salad stuff you have, tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, onions., cubed cheese...etc and some mayo.
Or fry it with some scrambled egg, season with salt and curry powder or paprika, depending on what you prefer, even some small tomatoes ...yumm :drool:He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

On the Stollen - we never have any leftovers, but this time you could try sprinkling a bit of water over it and warming it in the oven as you would bread - that will 'freshen' it up a bit! For the future you can freeze it, so I'd cut as much off as I thought I would eat over the next week (in my case the whole Stollen!) keep it in an airtight tin and freeze the rest. Having said that Stollen will keep for ages in a tin given half a chance!0 -
for the stollen: if it really is unrescuable (what the previous poster suggested, water and oven) then you could remove the marzipan part and make bread and butter pudding with it.. if you can make B&B pud with croissants and brioche then i'd have thought you could make it with this.

I assume not together?:eek::rotfl::D
How about using the stollen to make a luxurious kind of trifle? Dredge some liqueure/sherry/anything:D over it, top with fruit & cream/creme fresh/yogurt/ice cream & sprinkle choc chips or someting over the top of it all. Add a glug of fruit coulis if you have any fruit which would work (pureed fruit & sugar: raspberry, lime, something like that).
Pasta can alawys be turned into a pasta bake, a good glug of cheese/tomato/sweetcorn sauce over it & topped with cheese should hide any dryness which may have occured since it was cooked.
