Model number 2950 is £114.99.......BUT......it says a similar spec one might be substituted and the substitute model number is GV8150.
Argos themselves sell this model which is newer than the other one for £172.46.
This model has 5 bar pressure compared with 4 bar for the 2950 and it has a longer cord and continuous refill (which the other one doesn't mention so not sure if it has this too or not).
Anyway the newer model sells for £200+ normally and you can get it for £114.99 from Argos.
I asked for a 'customer view' first to check which model it was I was getting and I would have chanced my hand and asked for the substitute if need be. As it was, I got the substitute as they didn't have any of the original model left anyway. Think it's been discontinued.

Hi
Thanks so much for this, I'm off to Argos early AM Wednesday to see if I can get this bargain!
Can you actually ask for the substitute rather than taking the 2950 ???
Any help appreciated.

I am hopeless at ironing.
Would this type help someone like me? I am willing to spend the money if my husband can wear shirts that actually look like they have been ironed!
Whats the difference with these types of iron.
Many thanks0 -
Ive just been to my local argos and they had the correct one in stock, no substitute here0

I don't have either of these but I've had the Tefal Express (2911?)for about 5yrs, it's fantastic and I wouldn't go back to a normal iron! These models are a better spec than mine, hth0 -
Back from Argos with mine today !! I got the subsitute Yay
!! (Argos- Aberdeen , Berryden)
I am so chuffed with it , someone said to me before I bought it that I'd never want a normal iron again, wow I think they were right, what an incredable difference. I HATE ironing but I am hunting the house for things to flatten and smooth. I've come to the bottom of my ironing mountain in about a quarter of the time.
Just wanted to thank aliasojo for the original post !
