Water and Dry Skin

Options
Hi,

The water in the area where I live causes eczema-like patches on my hands and scalp. Is there anything I can add to bath water that will make the water more gentle?

Thanks!

Is it definately the water or the soaps and shampoos that you're using?

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Theres some good threads on here about dry skin. I would say Linda's got it right. maybe try Oilatum bath oil and if it's a scalp problem I can definitely say the oilatum shampoo is a boon with my sebacious dermatitis. Parrafin based it has changed my life. Hang on a bit and I'll find the appropriate threads.

a few options on what appears to affect so many people.

From these you will soon realise there is not a 1 size fits all policy. It's about finding what works for you.

I have sebacious dermatitis, inherited from dear papa who had no choice in the matter! We cope in a variety of ways. For my dry skin, which isn't eczema, I use eucerin cream. I also use this as a cosmetic night cream as it's so good.

Tell them your problem and they are very good at sending samples they think you would benefit from.
Go there and get samples to try.

Have you changed your washing powder? Check out the 'Money saving old style' forum too.

Hope you find out whats wrong and/or get something which sorts it out!

    Best o luck! FX
