Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway Win The Ads & Grab The Ads Online Application Terms


1. General guidelines
These terms and conditions relate to your application to participate in the Grab the Ads and/or Win the Ads games (the “games”) on the programme ‘Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’ (the "programme"). The information given by you during the application process may be used in the programme should you be selected.

You acknowledge and agree to abide by these terms and conditions and that you will be bound by such terms and conditions.

2. Eligibility requirements
To be eligible to apply to participate in the programme, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
(a) You must be a resident of the United Kingdom; and
(b) You must be aged eighteen (18) years or over; and
(c) You must not be employed, and have not been previously employed or engaged by, and must not be a live-in partner or immediate relative (i.e. mother, son, daughter, brother or sister) of an employee of the ITV Plc group of companies, or any of its subsidiaries and/or agencies associated with this programme including the producers of the programme and/or the games.

By applying to participate in the programme, you promise that you are eligible to apply, that the information you provide at the time of applying is correct, up to date, and is not misleading in any way, and you agree to be contacted by the producers of the programme, at their discretion.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that the information provided is complete, comprehensible, correct, up-to-date and submitted ahead of the stated closing date and time for receipt of applications. Providing information which is incomplete,incomprehensible, false or not received by the closing date and time will mean that the application is invalid and will not be considered.

If we suspect that an applicant is not eligible, we reserve the right to invalidate their application.

2. Application closing date and time
The closing date for receipt of applications is midday on 2 February 2009.

Applications sent to and/or received by ITV after the closing date and time for receipt of applications, or which are false, misleading, incomplete, incomprehensible, lost in transit, or not received are void and will not be considered. ITV reserves the right in its sole discretion to invalidate any application received. ITV cannot accept responsibility for any application which is not received by the closing date and time.

ITV cannot acknowledge receipt of applications. ITV may suspend, withdraw or re-set this service in its sole discretion at any time.

3. Cost to apply
There is no charge to apply online, but your internet service provider’s fees may apply when accessing the internet.

4. Application process
Eligible applicants may apply to participate in the programme to be broadcast from Saturday, 14 February 2009, by completing the online entry form provided on the website, at www.itv.com/takeaway. Online applications must be completed and submitted according to the instructions stated on the website, and include, but not limited to, providing your full name and a daytime contact telephone number. Online applications will be accepted only if completed and submitted in accordance with the instructions provided on the website and are invalid where made after the closing date and time as stated.

Applications on behalf of another person are void. Failure to follow any instructions as specified may result in that application being invalid.

Any information and data provided when applying will be held and used by ITV and the production company, their sub-contractors and agents, in order to administer the application for the purpose of producing, promoting and exploiting the programme, in accordance with the provisions of ITV’s privacy policy. Participation in the programme is subject to health and access restrictions.

By applying to participate in the programme, the applicant accepts these terms and conditions and consents to being filmed and recorded, and the applicant permits ITV, its successors and assigns any and all rights of whatever kind to use, and to permit others to use, all or any part of recordings of any type made of the applicant’s appearance on the programme in any and all media now known or hereafter devised or invented and by any means throughout the world in perpetuity.

Any submitted materials may be considered as “Submissions” (as defined under the Terms of Use at www.itv.com/terms) and are subject to such Terms of Use.

5. Selection process
The applicant acknowledges that by making an application that ITV and/or the production company reserves the right to contact any applicant for a future episode of the programme or to broadcast the applicant’s participation in any other media or otherwise exploit it in any manner. ITV and/or the production company does not guarantee that all applications will be considered despite being received, and does not represent, undertake or warrant that it will contact all applicants or broadcast, or otherwise exploit in any manner, any future episode of the programme.

The producer of the programme will select the most suitable applicant(s) to participate in the programme based on the information provided in the application form. One hundred (100) applicants will be randomly selected from all the eligible and valid applications received, to participate by phone in the Grab the Ads game on the programme. After the first 100 applicants have been selected for the Grab the Ads game, a further 100 applicants will be randomly selected from the remaining eligible and valid applications received to play the Win the Ads game in the studio.

Grab the Ads participation: If selected to participate in the Grab the Ads game, the applicant is required to be available on the phone to take part in the Grab the Ads game on air during the programme. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that they are available on the phone on Saturday, 14 February 2009 at the time specified, or such other date and time as indicated by the producer of the programme.

Win the Ads participation: If selected to participate in the Win the Ads game, the applicant is required to make their own way to the studios for the programme. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that they are available to be at the studios at their own expense, on Saturday, 14 February 2009 at the time specified, or such other date and time as indicated by the producer of the programme. Applicants selected to participate in the Win the Ads game may bring along one companion with them to the studios. The producer of the programme reserves the right to exclude any applicant and/or companion from the studios.

6. General
If a selected applicant for any reason does not agree to participate on air in the programme, he or she will not be able to participate further in the relevant game and will forfeit all rights to participating in the programme. Applicants and/or their companion, where applicable, will be required to comply with any directions and/or instructions given, including, without limitation, in regard to conformity with the Ofcom Broadcasting Code, health and safety instructions and all relevant laws, rules and regulations. Failure to comply with any directions or regulations and failure to provide valid proof of age and eligibility will result in such applicant no longer being permitted to proceed further.

Neither ITV nor the producers of the programme are liable to refund any costs or expenses incurred in applying, or in participating in the programme, including but not limited to the cost of calls made, postage, internet access fees, travelling expenses, transportation, accommodation, meals, drinks, insurance, taxes and costs unless otherwise provided for.

ITV, the producers of the programme and/or the games and their sub-contractors do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any telephone network or line, system, server, software provider or otherwise which may result in any application not being properly received or recorded.

ITV and/or the producers of the programme and/or the games cannot promise that the system and/or service will be free from errors or omissions nor that it will be available uninterrupted and in a fully operating condition. The system and/or service may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons beyond the reasonable control of the ITV or the producers. Neither ITV nor the producers will be liable to you or to any other person in the event that all or any part of the system and/or service is discontinued, modified or changed in any way.

Nothing in these terms and conditions restricts your statutory rights as a consumer. For more details on your statutory rights you should contact your local Trading Standards Office or Citizen's Advice Bureau.

7. Queries/complaints
If you have a query or complaint about your application, you may register it with the ITV duty office who can be contacted by phone on 0844 88 14150, or by email at dutyoffice@itv.com. You will need to give the following information:

(a) Your Name
(b) Confirmation of the website address you applied through
(c) The telephone number of the phone you called from if applicable
(d) Where applicable, the IP number of your computer and your internet service provider, or your telephone network operator
(e) The time(s) when you applied and experienced problems
(f) The nature of your query or complaint
(g) A contact telephone number you can be reached on if necessary

Gutter, i thought i was the only one who thought to enter this one. Doh!
