Black & Decker - Trip to San Diego Zoo and Adopt an Elephant promotion

This promotion is open to all residents of the designated countries which can be seen at https://www.blackanddecker.eu /horton, excluding employees of Black & Decker and associated companies, their agents, families or anyone professionally associated with this promotion. Participants must be 18 or over.
By entering into this promotion participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Paper copies of these terms and conditions may be requested from the promoter free of charge.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter, log on free to the Black & Decker website at https://www.blackanddecker.eu/horton and complete the required details. All information requested must be supplied, otherwise entries may not be valid. The Promoter will refund any reasonable costs of registering for the promotion upon proof of costs incurred.
The promotion period is 15 March 2008 to 30 June 2008. Closing date for receipt of entries is 5pm on 30 June 2008 GMT. The promoter cannot accept responsibility for damaged, delayed or lost entries nor for any technical delays or faults leading to a failure to enter. Only one entry per person.
All valid entries received by the promoter by the closing date will be entered into the free prize draw. All prize winners will be drawn at random by 15 July 2008.
All winners will be notified in writing by post oremail by 31 July 2008 and provided with full details of their prize. Details of winners’ names and counties for the country in which the participant is resident only will be available from the promoter on written request.
There will be in total 6 combined prizes of a trip to San Diego Zoo’s Wild Animal Park, USA and adoption of an elephant, 1 prize allocated to each of the designated areas as follows: UK; Benelux; Spain and Portugal; Germany, Austria and Switzerland; France; Italy.
Each prize has an estimated value of £4,000 and consists of the following for a family of four (being 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 11): economy return flights to San Diego, USA, all transfers, travel insurance, $200 spending money, two nights accommodation at the Grand Pacific Palisades Hotel, entrance to San Diego Zoo’s Wild Animal Park, adoption of an elephant at the San Diego Zoo’s Wild Animal Park, including an elephant adoption certificate, elephant fact sheet and screen saver and photograph of the adopted elephant (for further details go to www.sandiegozoo.org/adopt/animal.html). Prizes are non-transferable. Flights and accommodation will be organised and booked by the Black & Decker office of the designated country at the promoter’s sole discretion. Meals and drinks are not included and are to be organised and paid for by winners. Prizes must be taken in 2008, excluding Christmas, Easter and public holidays in the winner’s home country. There is no other choice of dates. In the event of events beyond the control of the promoter, the prize and associated travel may need to be re-arranged to another date.
It is the winners’ responsibility to ensure that the family of four hold valid passports (and visas and any other documentation if required) to enter the United States of America. Winners and accompanying persons agree to be bound by the terms and conditions at San Diego Zoo’s Wild Animal Park.
The promoter takes no responsibility for the acts and omissions of 20th Century Fox, San Diego Zoo nor any other third parties. To the extent permit ted by law, the promoter excludes all liability whatsoever to entrants and winners in relation to this promotion and the prizes to be awarded, including liability for death, physical injury, monetary loss or damage and loss of opportunity.
The promoter retains sole discretion to withhold prizes without liability if in its view the winner is ineligible, the entry is invalid or the winner does not meet the necessary requirements as set out in these terms and conditions. The promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend this promotion in the event of unforeseen circumstances or circumstances outside its control. The decision of the promoter will be final in all matters and no correspondence can be entered into.
There is no cash alternative to any of the prizes. At the promoter’s discretion another prize of equivalent or greater value may be substituted if in all reasonable circumstances the promoter is unable to offer the intended prize.
Unless otherwise agreed by the entrant, details of the entrants shall be collected and retained by the promoter for the purposes of this promotion only. Where the promoter has agreed, the relevant local affiliate of the promoter may collect and retain details of entrants on behalf of the promoter for the purposes of this promotion. Where the promoter collects and retains the details of entrants, the promoter may disclose such details to the relevant local affiliate of the promoter for the purposes of this promotion only. Participants may withdraw their consent to the collection and retention of such data at any time by declaring such withdrawal to the promoter.
Winners agree, by participating in this promotion, to participate in reasonable publicity, including photo shoots and agree to use of their name, voice photographs, and other pictures for such reasonable publicity purposes without additional consideration.
