If you have had difficulties please contact the OFT - see below
Contact points for the OFT and other to whom you can complain.
Here are a list of websites for the organisations that RAS posted on post #68.
These addresses are the ones that I have used to find the information that I required, You may want to research pages other than the ones I have linked to, try clicking on the home page if any of these aren't what you wanted.
Office of Fair Trading, Contact page: http://www.oft.gov.uk/contactus
The Information Commissioners Office, Complaints page: http://www.ico.gov.uk/complaints.aspx
(note: I chose to complete and download the .pdf form on Data Protection, which I am also sending to the other offices, with an accompanying letter)
Trading Standards, Central office homepage: http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/
-Please note, you can search by inserting the postcode in the top right hand corner, remember to use the postcode of the DCA rather than your own-
Consumer Credit Association, enquiries page: http://www.ccauk.org/consenquiries.htm
the Financial Ombudsman Service, Contacts page: http://www.financial-ombudsman.org/contact/index.html
Members of parliament list, (as provided by RAS): http://www.parliament.uk/directories/hciolists/clomps.cfm
Hi Pipk62 and everybody else
The OFT are compiling a file on these people and so any complaint is of interest to them. They are after their license, they asked me for more info on my complaint. It might be worth letting them know as they are trying to get enough evidence together.
All the best

Thanks Ras.
My story of these people is here.
Is anyone still getting problems with Ruthless?
I have heard nothing more since sending letters to the organisations RAS has listed, and I asked my MP last week if he'd heard any more about my case, he said he hadn't, but he will look into it and get back to me.
I am still aware their ugly heads could pop up again, but other matters have taken priority, although I still keep all the records of my dealings with them, which everyone who has to deal with a dispute should do. :silenced:0 -
Please can some one advise me of how to deal with ruthbridge, I have received a letter from express delivery which once i rang found out it was for my husband. The only thing we can think of is in sept 2002 we seperated and he cancelled every direct debit from his bank and didn`t commence payments when we got back together due to financial difficulties, If any letters have arrived for him over the years or phone calls received i`ve always maintained he doesn`t live at this address which always does afull circle because we have a joint mortgage. The last letter received a couple of days ago is headed LETTER BEFORE ACTION which once again i rang to deny he lives here even though letter states he has been traced.
Can somebody please advise as i`m worried to death.
Many many thanks,0 -
They must have called my number at least 6 times over the past week from 0298 4336085, but always out of office hours, even Sunday morning, but never leave a message. Presumably they're trying to catch me out in getting me to ring them back, but there's no chance I'll do that. Will they go away eventually? I've only been in business 2 years, have no debt, so why are they calling me? The only thing is I bought an existing ecommerce website, so that's the only thing I can think of. Although I just bought the domain name, goodwill and stock, the other guy kept his limited company name and I started a new one, so could it be the other guy their chasing? Either way, unless they get through to me during normal hours I'll ignore them0

Sorry I have missed you both.
Its dissapointing to see 'Ruthless' still trading, but not unexpected.
Take time to read through this thread, and my original thread and follow any links that you need to.
I would advise informing Ruthless that you should only have contact by letter, there is details of what I have done in my thread (link above)
Best of luck. :silenced:0 -
yep problems with them here too. Just CCA'd them and received a daft letter telling me details about the CCA (which sound incorrect to begin with) but no copy of it. Their problem not mine cos in 4 working days they will be in default. If they send me a letter harrassing me after that point a complaint will be made. I hope these Barstewards get closed down!!!0

i have also received letters from Ruthbridge, there last letter was threating to make me bankrupt etc etc if i didnt pay half of the balance (£1800) by the 20th i wrote to them on the 15th asking for a copy of the credit agreement a letter i got from this site, but have not received anything from them yet.
what should i do next? when will they have taken too long?
please help0 -
Hi whitepele
What sort of debt was this originally for?
Have you read this thread? https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2305463 and have you followed the flowcharts at the start? Did you send the £1 fee with your letter?
If you don't receive anything from them by tomorrow you could then move to the CCA reminder (from that thread) as it will have been more than 14days.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
