I know it will be different from court to court but I'm trying to find out the average waiting time.
Thanks

About a month for me.
Remember, the courts do get quite a few cancellations (people getting cold feet, or finding a better option). For people who want an appointment ASAP in an area with a long wait it can be worth checking back with the court every so often.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I waited about five weeks, but the local court was very busy at the time and it gave me a chance to get my head together (and the cash)The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

I could have had a court date the following week, just 4 days after I phoned but I needed more time to get the paperwork done and raise the fee.0

I was originally given a date for 2 weeks but had to move it due to work so now it is 6 weeks. It is fine with me tho as it gives me a chance to get everything together.0

Some courts will allow you to turn up on the day for your hearing without an appointment, as long as you get there by a specific time. The Royal Courts of Justice (The Strand, London) operate like this - as long as you're at the payments office by the time it opens (it opens at 10am) to pay your fees or submit your exemption paperwork, you'll be seen that day.
I've heard that some people have turned up there after lunch hoping to be seen that day - I would advise against that, as- the court sees you in the morning but calls you back in the afternoon to finish the paperwork before sending you to the Insolvency Service office locally later that afternoon, so they need time to process your paperwork to enable you to be seen at both offices the same day, &
- the court gets a lot of people because of the 'same day' service. It therefore makes sense to turn up by about 9.40am at the latest, to get in the queue & get your documents in rather than trust to luck & end up having to make extra trips you could do without.

Hereford Court used to be same day and you could just turn up in the morning. Due to the demand now and the shear number of people going BR you have to make an appointment, i did this over the phone for the following week - this Fri in fact! Aarrggghhh!0
