Hi I am looking for a rice cooker , I just want my rice to be like out the chinese along the road .....I cant seem to replicate their fried rice.
I dont want one that has an aluminium inside though.
New diet = new health , even though I say fired rice I wont be using anything other than GOOD oil.

I bought a microwave rice cooker from Lakeland years ago and it always gives good results.
The secret is to leave the rice to stand for 10 mins or so after cooking.
Can't find the exact model but this one seems similar, and less than a tenner.
here
If I'm on holiday then I tend to cook rice on top of the stove.
Rinse rice until water runs clear
Using saucepan with tight fitting lid, add 1 part rice to 1.5 parts water, bring to boil, reduce to simmer with the lid on, seal with foil if its loose, and don't touch it for 15mins.
Fluff the rice up with a fork.
Hope this helps.
PS I only ever use Basmati rice. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

OH here says EXACTLY the same!!! Even down to the Basmati rice - we get ours from Lidl (extra info not necessarily asked for!).
We also have a 'proper' Panasonic rice cooker which is used for larger meals, but the microwave version is brilliant.
