it varies from store to store, but usually depends on what time the shop closes, or when it starts to get a bit slow instore
My local Sainsburys tends to reduce from about 6pm on a weekday, Somerfield from about 3pm, and Tesco seems to be continually reducing throughout the day

My local Asda start y/s at 9am - but I'm usually in work then
My local Tesco start at 12 noon, then reduce those prices again at 6pm - when I get out of work (right next-door to Tesco!)

I normally get good bargains from Morrisons if I go in after work (About 5.30 by the time I get there) I will usually find reduced fish, bread and some kind of cakey-goodness. They do some great reductions on Sunday afternoons too - joints of meat for 99p if you're lucky
In my 24 hour Tesco, I have found good things about 7-8pm but it does vary.
Best advice would be to do random "drop ins" and see how you get on.
If you have an M&S near you, good bargain hunting is to be found about 2 hours before closing on a Sunday at least.0 -
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0
