HI
I have read these threads for ages and with incredulity the threads feed my family for £35 a week etc. but I am stunned at what I have just worked out.
I could bake a victoria sandwich, 1 serving of pancakes, 1 scones and 1 sponge pudding for about £1.82 . Admittedly that doesn't include the jam or icing sugar in the cake , the fillings for the pancakes, the sultana which I estimate would cost and extra 17p.
I haven't even started on milk puddings, like rice pudding, semolina or chocolate custard.
The only thing is I am on a permanent diet so couldn't have these and why does my shopping regularly come in at the £70 mark!!
