Open to UK residents only aged 17 or over and who hold a full UK driving licence.
Not open to employees of the Aviva Group, Glue, Superglue, Sponge, Anorak Digital, Upset TV, Red Eye, Limelight, AFM Lighting Ltd, Metro Imaging Ltd, Mad Dog Casting Ltd, On Sight Ltd., Kay & Co Inc., Covent Garden Laminates, Karushi Management Ltd, Grays, Management & Associates Ltd, The American Agency, The Zeloof Partnership, Travis Perkins, Trading Company Limited, HSS Hire Service Group Limited, BBC Resources Limited their families and their agents and anyone professionally involved with the promotion.
To enter, text A or B or C to 81120 by 23.59 on Thursday 4th October 2007. Text entries are charged at £1 plus standard operator charges. Any text entries sent after Thursday 4th October 2007 will be charged at your standard operator charge and will not be valid for entry to the competition.
Participation involves sending the promotional code by text message to 81120.
By entering the competition you agree to receive three texts (or two text and one email if you have supplied us with a valid email address). Unless you opt-in to receive further communication from us no other messages will be received.
Text entries are charged at £1 plus standard operator charges.
No purchase necessary. To enter without incurring the £1 text entry fee please send your mobile phone number, name, address and signature and your choice of either Car A, Car B or Car C on a plain piece of paper or postcard to RAC SMS, Customer Care, Marketing Department, Norfolk Tower, Surrey Street, Norwich, Norfolk, NR1 2PA. Only one application per stamped envelope/postcard. Applications from agents/third parties are invalid. Your mobile phone number is required to allow us to contact you in the event that you should win.
Any profit from the prize draw will be donated to the charity Brake (www.brake.org.uk). Profit is defined as money remaining after tax, competition hosting, operators and handling charges and the cost of prizes are taken into account.
Prizes: There are three prizes available within this competition. These are:
- A convertible sports car
- A family car
- A non-roadworthy car which will remain the property of RAC plc and be replaced with a consolation prize on the day of the reveal
The sports convertible and family car will be insured for a maximum of 7 days by RAC direct car insurance to allow the winners to drive the car away on the day of the Grand Reveal. After this time it is the responsibility of the prize winner to arrange insurance cover.
All prizes are not transferable. No cash alternative is available in whole or part in place of the prizes listed.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of similar nature or of greater value to the one selected.
The winners will be selected at random in a draw made on 5th October 2007 by an independent person.
Winners will be notified on 5th October 2007. Should we not be able to contact any winner within 48hrs then an alternative winner will be drawn. This process will continue until we have three winners for the grand reveal on 17th October.
Proof of delivery is not deemed proof of receipt via SMS route.
Prizes will be issued to the winners in person on 17th October 2007. If selected as a winner you must be available to claim the prize on the above date in London. Full address details will be supplied if you are selected as a winner.
RAC will pay a maximum of £150 towards travel for each of the prize winners. The winners will meet all costs over this amount.
Competition car prizes are second hand and have undergone RAC Vehicle Checks. Terms and conditions for a check can be viewed at http://www.rac.co.uk/web/vehiclechecks/status_checks/terms_and_conditions
If submitting your entry via a mobile phone which is not your own, please first obtain the permission of the owner/bill payer.
The Promoter will not be liable for: The non-availability, loss, late receipt or damage of any text entry through mobile-telephone or transmission failure; Any loss or damage to equipment, software or data arising in connection with the transmission or receipt of any message.
The Promoter's decision in all matters is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
It is mandatory for prize winners to participate in all required publicity. All winners will be filmed for the Grand Reveal which will appear on the website. Names will also appear on the website.
All video footage featured within the thegreatcarcoverup.com is a recorded feed. At no time is the feed live video streaming or meant to represent a live video camera.
Prize winners' names and counties will be available after 18th October 2007 for 1 calendar month by sending a SAE to: WINNERS, RAC SMS comp, Customer Care, Marketing Department, Norfolk Tower, Surrey Street, Norwich, Norfolk, NR1 2PA.
RAC reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition or these Rules at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted either within the Competition website or these Rules.
By entering this promotion entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
All information set out on any advertising or promotional materials relating to this promotion form part of the terms and conditions although, in the event of conflict, these terms and conditions shall prevail over all such other information.
