Philips 8" lcd digital frame - what a bargain

Hello, everybody, yesterday I was looking for a decent digital frame for my mom's birthday. Didn't wanna spend too much but at the same time was looking for quality...
Had a look at littlewoods direct and they have this brilliant Philips 8" LCD digital photo frame at half price at their sale at only £59 from £119!!! Here's a link

http://www.littlewoodsdirect.com/rf/lxd/p.do/electricals/philips/digital-cameras/8ff3fpw-05-lcd-digital-photo-frame?groupId=578087410&Nu=this_product&SNtk=&Np=1&SN=154+4294963100+85+4294955442&Ntt=578087410&D=578087410&Ntk=group_search&Dx=mode%2bmatchall&thisprod=578087410&N=154+4294963100+85+4294955442&Nty=1&Mis_item_id=15&Mis_item_loc_id=1&product=578087410

Exact same one is selling in amazon for £99 :p

Already a bargain on its own, I wanted to get an even better deal, so went on the Discount Codes forum and found a £30 off £60 spend discount code for new customers and used it on this order. I know about all the "Littlewoods asking for money back" scare but it's never happened to me. Money got taken from the bank today and £30 put straight back in  As the frame is £59 and because of the VAT cut you'll need something else for around £2. I got this gorgeous t-shirt for my ds which is in the sale and has gone from £5 to £3, only sizes from 6 -18 months left

I ordered it last night, it arrived this morning. Now that's what I call good service
The frame is stunning. It makes a change from all the black ones you normally get. The quality is superb, has loads of features like alarm clock, you can make collages from your pics etc

Don't forget 8% Quidco or TopCashBack.

You will have to pay £3.95 for P&P but it's worth it. You could order from littlewoods, kays etc but the frame is £69, though the P&P is free and you could get £3 + 8% from cashback sites for registering and your first purchase

All in all I've paid £34.69 for the t-shirt and the frame and £2.78 has already tracked, what a bargain!

Sorry for such a long post guys... HTH

What a great offer. Thank you was looking for a frame and this really is a good deal. Only drawback with the frame is no remote but 800x600 is the best resolution you can get really. Thanks again OP. :T

Another good place to check out for frames is ebuyer. The unbranded ones can be pretty cheap :D
What shall I put here?

I wouldn't recommend a digital frame. After the novelty wears off, it doesn't get used, and they need to be plugged in so you have to have a wire running to it.

I got this frame using this deal about a month ago- the frame and the quality of the pics are good. I was pleased with it for the money and would definitely recommend it!

I would disagree, but you do have to think about where you're going to put it, and have one that switches on and off at set times.

If you buy a cheap one that you have to turn on manually, then press buttons to set it going, then yes, you'll stop using it after a few days.

We've got two, one on my desk and one by the TV in the lounge and we've had them in use for nearly 2 years.
Why pay more than you have to?

Hi I got this one from Boots for £97 but I paid with points so kinda free! However, despite wanting it so much I haven't actually touched it!!! DH had to set it up. Then he got a slightly smaller oner from Comet for about £15 with a remote. I was gutted as I could've used my points for something else....oh well.

    Just ordered this frame too.

£33.15 total paid and should get quidco on it too.
-Oh and I also got a nice wee net curtain from Littlewoods too :D (but only to take me over the £60 mark so i could get my £30 off!)

    Voucher options:
£30 off a £60 spend: ZG310 (Used it for my first purchase)
£25 off a £50 spend: ZQ363 (tried it on my first purchase and it worked - but I went for £30 voucher instead)

The earlier models of Philips photo frame do have an internal battery, but it's just intended for being able to pass the screen around, and only lasts about 20 mins.

I've not seen any that would run for hours, and I doubt any would be possible with the technology they currently use.
