Can anyone help me with some ideas on what to so with leftover (a fair amount) shortcrust pastry.
I have had a look through the threads and the index but am needing some inspiration.
It is the frozen stuff that cant be froze again once defrosted so i need to use it up.

Could you roll it out and then cut into squares, bake and then freeze.
Then you could use it as a pastry top for hot pots or pies, just dish up the meat and stick a crust on top.
I think they do this in some pubs.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
Jam tarts, sausage rolls, apple turnovers, depends what else you have available. I like to spread it with jam, then sprinkle coconut, roll up and bake for a yummy pud. Or make chorley cakes if you have sultanas to hand, they will freeze too (if they last that long!).
You could always line a pie dish, bake blind and then freeze it, ready for when you're short of time.
