The Beat in Birmingham
Formed in the working class areas of Birmingham in England in 1978 THE BEAT arose at a time of high unemployment and social upheaval. From the outset the band offered messages of hope and peace with an insight into sociopolitical topics that would later see alongside THE SPECIALS heralded as foreunners of the whole 2-Tone Ska movement.
For a chance to win a pair of tickets to to see The Beat + Neville Staple perform at their hometown gig at Birmingham academy on Friday April 4th, answer the below questions.
