A humorous and original picture book for little monkeys everywhere!
A cheeky little girl and her toy monkey swing irresistibly through the pages of this gorgeous playful book. Young children will love guessing what animal they are pretending to be, before shouting out the answers as the pages are turned to reveal the real creatures. Soon everyone will be waddling like a penguin, jumping like a kangaroo and hanging upside down like a bat!
Emily Gravett is a recent graduate of Brighton University and winner of the 2004 Macmillan Prize for Illustration. A traveller for eight years, she has now settled in Brighton with her partner, their young daughter – and two pet rats. Her first picture book, the inimitable WOLVES was published in 2005 and has since sold over 50,000 copies as well as winning the Bronze Award in the 5 and under category of the Nestlé Children’s Book Prize 2005 and CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal 2005. Emily has since published ORANGE PEAR APPLE BEAR and MEERKAT MAIL to critical acclaim.
Look out for Emily Gravett’s showcase website www.emilygravett.com launching in April 2007
