This has been around for a while. Just be aware the magazine has a limited audience - Yes its a good deal "IF" you are going to read it - I ordered the same deal around 6 months ago and have now canceled it as I have never seen such a poor magazine.

You'd be better off trying the "one pound for three trial copies with a free DVD thrown in" offer. That way you could cancel the direct debit when you realise what a facile magazine it is, and only have lost one pound ;)
Thanks to all who post constructively.

  • Agreed, this mag is poo.
I just take out the 3 for £1 offers when there is freebies etc, well worth it then for the freebies and if you do it every 3 months you can get 24 mags for £8. (i think) plus all the freebies
Much better doing it that way.
Watch out, you never know who is about.
  • Maxim used to be quite a good read but they have since got a new editor. He seems to think we need another 'Loaded' style of mag and since then it has gone down the toilet. Shame really as I used to subscribe but cancelled it after several years when this clown took over.

I took this out over a year ago and got £12 worth of grooming gear so it was a bargain no matter what Maxim was like.

I agree it used to be Loaded for five year old, but have noted a subtle change. There was a whole outlook change about six - seven months ago where they tried to be ironic in taking the proverbial out of FHM etc. but it just wasn't funny.

Its since been slightly refined (if you can use that word for Maxim) and there are two or three satirical items each month. Now thats pretty poor, but at 41p an issue its still worth a chuck surely. You also get the free DVDs too - most are rubbish about behind the scenes page 3 photo shoots, but I've had a couple of Best Premiership Goals types.
  • i used to buy maxim every month but for about the last 9 or so months it has been absolute rubbish, stopped buying about 3 months ago after 8 or so years. Even the jokes arent that funny so bang goes my saturday night 15 minutes of fame down the rugby cclub
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.
