To clear up bella165's question - Customers can enter 'both' the 'cute kid' & 'cute pet' competitions in any month. You are also free to return the following month and re-enter (preferably with new pictures). However, please be aware that MattsCanvas has no say in who wins! Customers vote 1-10 using the stars below each photograph. The photo with the highest vote in each category at the end of the month is the winner! So use the 'tell a friend to vote' link on the comp page and get your family and friends to vote for your entry. If you don't vote you will not win! You can also use the 'check stats' link to enter your email address and check the votes your photos have received at any time.

Hey paulin_8, get voting if you want to win! Many customers seem to be uploading and not voting, or not telling friends and family to vote for them. As remember only one vote per computer (ip address) will register for each photograph, so to win you have to get your friends and family to vote also! This is to stop people sitting simply voting time and time again for their own photograph and to make it as fair as possible for everyone.
We do not simply choose a winner at the end of the month, customers have to vote on the photographs using the stars 1-10 under the images. The photograph with the most votes is the winner, simple!
