E: 31/12 1 of 24 Prizes LCD TV, holidays, camera etc Mastercard card holders

https://www.mastercard.com/uk/personal/en/specialoffers/christmaspromo/countdown.html

I think that unless you live in NI you have to own and use your Mastercard during December to enter this comp. As with their last comp the rules seem very complicated but the prizes make it well worth entering.

I have highlighted the prizes in the Ts and Cs below because there are too many to list.
Good luck all

Obviously we all want to enter as little personal detail as possible when entering comps, but I presume that they have to identify that the card has been used.
I appreciate that some people may not be comfortable in entering this information. But considering the proliferation of personal data everywhere I am quite happy for them to have the first 6 digits of mine, still leaves 9,999,999,999 possibilities for the next 10 and they do not have the expiry date, pin number or security number from the back.

The first 6 are the same for everyone with that company's card - ie all barclays will start with the same 6, all virgin with the same. It's doesn't give anything which is specific to you, other than the type of card you have :)

  • Hello all,
    Forgive my stupidity!
In the T & C'S it says "One entry only per card holder after making any purchase."
If I have used my card thirty times does this mean I can log on and enter thirty times?
    Thanks,
    Mal.

    Hi Mal
Their last competition was along the same lines and I was unsure as to whether you could enter each time that you used your card or not, but the general consensus was that you could only enter once.
Sorry that it is not a definite answer, but hope that it helps a bit.

I am getting a message that the entry is not valid for the Promo ID that I have used. The only thing that I think they can mean by Promo ID is the first six digits of the card. My card is with Barclays and so the first six digits would identify it as Barclays. Has anyone else entered successfully using a Barclays Mastercard? Is anyone else getting a message about the Promo ID?

Yes, I just got the same. Mine's a Bank of Scotland Mastercard

I didn't want the damn thing anyway. I was quite happy with my BOS Visa card but BOS decided in their wisdom to change everyone to Mastercard

I never use it but saw this competition and decided to use it so I could enter :rotfl:
