Marmite at Tesco £1 for 500 gram jar

Hi Marmite fans. I went to our local Tesco yesterday and spotted the large jars of Marmite (thats 500 grams) for just £1.
the usual price is around £5 so its a real bargain, I bought six jars as we love it.
They haven't had any 500 gram jars for ages so was well chuffed to find this.

oh thats lucky when i went to tesco on friday they only had an offer on the small jars - though it wasnt that much cheaper!£27.76/£2018 in 20180

It might be that Tesco aren't going to stock this size anymore, other stuff (eg cashews) that went cheap disappeared, or reappeared in a different packet and dearer.0

Yes, changed my delivery date to today instead of tomorrow and added 2 jars to my order only to find I was charged nearly £10 instead of £2. Waiting to hear back from Tesco now.
Edited to update....had emailed Tesco to complain about the huge increase in the price 12 hours after order and today they refunded the difference.

I popped into my local Tesco today for some and they are now scanning at £4.89 each ....
The checkout girl said that somebody earlier had bought 20 jars
that went through at £1 each ...
