I've got some of this on a shirt, but haven't done anything with it as i'm sure if you wash it it sets in,

Once it's wet your done for. Try to blow/brush as much off dry as you can. It takes loads of washes to come out, fading a bit like a bruise does. Deep red - orange - yellow. I love lillies and always have them in the house but I cut the stamens out now after damaging some very expensive wall paper.

what about asking for advice in your florists? my sister had lillies in her wedding bouquet and she got told to pull the stamens off to prevent staining.0

My favourite subect. Damn things !.
No 1, if you should be given a bouquet (as no-one in their right mind would buy one) with a lily in, snip the stamens off with a pair of scissors just as soon as the flower unfurls.
No2, if pollen does drop onto material, hold the item over a cup tightly, and vacuum up the pollen before it sets.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who hates the smell of them. Got at least one in each bouquet I received after baby no2 arrived. All flowers looked great in their vases and the lillies did especially well - in a vase in the garden!! Wasn't really bothered about the pollen staining the grass. ;D0 -
If the stain has rubbed into the fabric then I'm afraid it's the Stain Devil job!
Lily pollen is a pain and it's one of those stains that just won't budge - the pollen is quite sticky as well so it's easy to rub in.
