Hi
I would like to make some KFC chicken wraps.
I got wraps from Lidl at about 60p for 6
Salad and tomatoes from Tescos - 90p
Now the big question about chicken. I usually use Quorn.
Have you got any ideas on how to fry it KFC style (or near).
Has anybody have the Colonel's secret recipe? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Something to do with tabasco and milk IIRC, have it somewhere but I wasn't very successful.

hey
you can just get the chicken breast (or alternative) cut it into strips and use your own beadcrumbs or ready made ones from the shop add some black pepper to crumbs, dip the chicken in beaten egg then bread crumbs, oven it and wrap them up put some mayo or choice of your own sauce and there you have it!Abbey Loan £6,000

Hi I have used milk when I dont have any eggs, there is also a recipe here that is gorgeous I dont use butter and it still turns out lovely:
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup flour
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 lemon, juice of
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons oil
3-4 lbs chickens, cut into 8 pieces
Combine first 7 ingredients, place in a plastic bag and shake to mix.
Combine lemon juice, butter and oil.
Add chicken and turn pieces to coat.
Shake chicken in crumb mixture to coat evenly.
Place on 15 x 10 baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
Preheat grill and grill for 5 to 8 minutes or until golden brown0 -
I like to make a black pepper mayonnaise when I make these but I just use either the Quorn chicken fillet or nuggets. I should be more adventurous! To make the mayo I just grind some fresh black pepper into a generous helping of mayo.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0
