Re competitions could I ask?

Thinking of starting entering competitions, I've read some of the posts with tips etc.. but wondering if I could ask for a candid reply.
How many competitions do people enter approximately - say daily?
Is it worth the amount of time you put in?
There do seem to be a fair few winning posts on here.

I don't keep a tally of the competitions I enter but try to go in for as many as I possibly can. I spend about 1/2 hr going through Gilla's list of daily comps and also try to do the competitions that I want to enter, amongst those that are about to finish in a couple of days time, every day.
I started comping in March last year and have had a wonderful year. A holiday to Boston and one to Tokyo as well as a weekend in Edinburgh would have made it all worthwhile but there have also been lots of other prizes varying from lipstick and mascara to a signed England shirt and a cheque for £500. Well worth it if you have the time . Give it a go.

Just enter as many as you can...possibly just the ones that you really need and can make use of. If you have children try entering for your children too, it's well worth it to see their happy faces when they win!
I usually enter dailies/weeklies too as well as postal comps & texts. When you start recieving prizes & freebies....it's well worth the hours you put in! Don't forget to thank the OP's for the comp posts so you know which ones you have entered too. HTH

Don't do it if you're expectiong big prizes, or you may well be disappointed. For most people comping is an enjoyable hobby and any wins are a bonus. If you worked out the hours you spend comping vs the value of prizes, then no it's probably not 'worth your time' - don't do it if it's a chore. Having said that you have to be in it to win it - good luck!

I enter around 20-30 a day, thats if i have caught up with most competitions going. Other wise as many as i can - i only enter competitions with prizes i would like or have some use for :T i do dailies before i go to bed :rotfl:some competitions run for months so i end up entering so many i forget...but when a prize turns up or you get a winning email it makes it worth while. At the end of the day its just abit of fun, :j

I enter as many as i can, but all depends some days i enter a few other day i enter loads. again dont expect anything, treat it as a hobby and if you win its a bonus

Why would you need to enter any anywhere else? You would have to put in many hours to do all the ones on here.

This is the best site for competitions - you can easily keep track of which ones you have entered. If you enter from a few different sites you run the risk of entering twice and invalidating your entries!

hundreds!!! most days an average of 150 and i spend two to three hours a day doing them on average.and i dont use any other sites i dont need to there are enough comps here to keep a small army happy

I spend a good 3 hours doing it. I started because i've been off work after having an op and it keeps me busy:D

I can enter anything between 15-150 comps per day, but i've only had 2 iccle wins so far:rotfl:
