i'm sure some one on here can point me in the right direction, i need lots of party games to entertain my dd's friends.
i have hired a hall and have invited 25 kids for 2 hours, will do pass the parcel, musical statues and musical bumps, but then i get stuck!
so any fun ideas will be great.
many thanks.........

If you can find one of those parachutes cheaply they seem to love those - get all the girls to go under, then all the boys - put some balloons on top get them to bounce off etc.... Sleeping lions if it all gets a bit fraught (they all lie down and you are out if you move. They all enjoy "what's the time mr wolf".
You could also have a dancing competition, come sort of race (two teams they take it in turns to race up and down wearing eg wellies and a hat). I would do 2 circles of pass the parcel (ie 2 parcels) with that number of kids. Girls seem to quite like it if there is colouring to do when they arrive or some sort of craft (on tables) boys not so keen.
Food will take up a nice peaceful half hour sort and I would hand out the party bags (assuming you are doing them) when you want them to leave.
From the numerous parties I have been to of late with my (just) 5 year old the most successful ones have been the ones where the inviter has been clear about whether they would prefer parents to stay or not and where the kids have been kept VERY busy. I went to one party which descended into chaos as there were helium balloons but nothing actually for the kids to do so they just fought each other for the balloons...it was a bloodbath!
Have fun planning - I would do a google for party games too sure there are loads of better ideas...0 -
The chocolate game always goes down well with this age group...
You need to buy a big bar of chocolate and place it on a plate with a knife and fork. Get some dressing up clothes which include a scarf, hat and gloves and a dice. Players roll the dice and when a six is thrown they put on the clothes and begin to eat the chocolate with the knife and fork - this continues until someone else rolls a six. It can get quite competitive!!
Other suggestions include duck, duck, goose, pass the parcel, treasure hunts, musical statues and the bean game.
Hope this helps. It's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.0 -
A game of Mummies always goes down well!
Get the kids split into 3-4 teams, and you'll need 3-4 parent volunteers.
The adults stand in a line, each has 2 cheap loo rolls at their feet. The teams of kids have to wrap up their 'Mummy' within a set time, in a relay style.
At the end of the allotted time, the adults must spin round a few times. The one who has the most loo roll left on (or most totally covered) wins!
I tend to have a small pack of chococolate lollies or something as a team prize.

A game my kids love is jumping on large pieces of bubble wrap.
Split the kids into 2 teams, and get them to jump on the bubble wrap. The first team to pop all the bubble wrap is the winner. My kids think that it is great fun, and it keeps them entertained for ages.
A pinata also goes down well - fill it up with sweets and presents and get the kids to burst it. I have always bought the one that have strings attached rather than the ones you have to hit with a stick. Line the kids up and they get one go each. Make sure you have extra sweets for the kids that aren't quick enough to get any when the pinata bursts, as there will be a mad scramble. This is the last game I do at my kids party that I have had in the past. Have used this company in the past for bits and pieces: http://www.partypieces.co.uk2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
we split the children into teams and each child at the front started with a hula hoop they had to pass themselves through the hoop all holding hands down to the last child, the first team to finish wins.the kids loved it and it works for adults too.
also skittles im terrible for silly games we used empty fizzy bottles and decorated them weighed them down with bit water in bottom and seal tops.we then used a cabbage of all things silly i know as the ball.this can also be played in teams and its easy for little ones to play.
plus you have all the usual games you could play musical bumps/statues etc:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0 -
