Freezing milk, cheese and sandwiches!!

Options
I've heard some posters say that they freeze milk and sandwiches, does anyone know how this works? I normally buy milk thats £1.20 but have realised that I can get it in a local Makro but as I dont have a car its a bit out of the way so I'd like to buy several at once and freeze them. After defrosting, how long will the milk last? Also, I detest making sandwiches everyday so anyone's experience with freezing them would be great. When I was in Makro seen giant catering size packs of cheese and I thought I could portion them up and freeze them - can this be done?

As you can see I know nothing about freezing!!!!

Freezing milk is not a problem at all - and as for the sandwiches, there have been a load of threads about this recently, have a little search. I've done it with cheese, ham and peanut butter sandwiches recently to wonderful effect!

cheese freezes fine. I regularly buy big blocks and cut and freeze into smaller portions,Just wrap well and defrost in fridge. No problems.
Sandwiches are okay with fillings like cheese, ham other meats etc, but don't put any salad on them as this goes soggy.
I have never frozen milk but plenty people on here do so I am sure that it works out fine.

I freeze milk all the time but its semi skimmed and I dont know about full cream milk but expect others do - lasts the same as fresh once defrosted - As we dont use a lot I buy only the 1 pint ones and as I am the only one drinking it tend to try and finish it up with a drink of milky coffee etc to use it up. I used to make one whole weeks sandwiches for hubby and freeze them and it works fine.
Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j

I freeze full cream milk and as long as you give it a good shake when it's thawed out it's fine. Once it's thawed it seems to last just as long as normal milk.

We normally stock up the Organic milk (2 pint) when reduced to about 10p. Freeze when we get home then get out the night before needed and has always been fine:D
I often freeze sarnies/rolls for DD....again when I get the bread/rolls reduced (she loves a particular type and are very dear so get when reduced). Make them up as usual (cheese, marmite or jam) and they freeze well and pull out day I need them.
