Thinking of buying a Memory Foam Mattress or Mattress Topper. Google search gives lots of companys selling these. Can anyone tell me if they are worth buying? If so where to buy. Bed is wooden slotted base type. Thanks.

I recently replaced a spring mattress with one of these and in my view its a real improvement.

We were quite interested in these too but found them to be a bit too expensive and were too scared to take the plunge ;D. I am told that it can also get very hot lying on them in the summer because as they are made of rubbery stuff, they reflect heat back at you.
In the end, we went for a compromise and bought a mattress which has a latex overlay built in from the Iron Bed Company (who I think have now been bought out :-/) and it's fab ;DI :heart2: Boots

:-/ I've got one of the pillows from Memflex and yes it is very comfortable though I'm not sure of durability. In about three months it seems to be losing some of its ability. During the night I have to keep turning it round as it does compress round the head and shoulder area0

Just to say that I replaced my mattress with memory foam mattress and I don't get aches and pains like I used to. I agree with you, the memory foam mattress is expensive to buy, I got my mattress from Ikea with very reasonable price, the mattress I bought consists of several different material layers with memory foam as top layer, it's very comfortable, the only thing is that I think Ikea's beds/mattress is slightly longer than normal UK bed sizes so you need to check out your bed frame size to see if Ikea mattress will fit or not.0
