Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!

Following requests to start things steadier for new members who did not realise the tasks list wasn’t a must do, just an encouragement. There will now be level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 being very basic it has been requested that this is just one task per day, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. If you want to do level 2 you add the tasks on level 1 with the level 2 tasks, if you want to do level 3 you add the tasks on, easy peasy. Choose a level to aim for but be realistic, if you’ve got a busy day on or are just starting etc aim for level one, if you get higher then great, if not then not to worry its only suggestions. Every room comes back around next week. Trust me some days I'll only be doing level one myself.

THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.

Also adding a declutter mission each day. Another one where it’s up to you if you want to do it or if you need to. This follows requests from members who are looking to declutter. Fling boogies, hotspot clearing, cupboard sorts, drawer sorts etc will all be on this list. Any problems with this of any suggestions do please let me know.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Binbag dance - Grab a binbag and run around the house filling it up with rubbish.. I like to do this the day the bins are due to be emptied.. it fills the bin and decutters!

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!
5GC five minutes gardening.. make it lovely for your family and enjoy it!

    1. You don't have to complete the daily list on the same day to get your star but try and do some in the week to give yourselves more free time at the weekend
    2. You must do levels 1,2 and 3 to get a star but remember the 'extras' are extras and don't count towards the stars!
    3. Please make it obvious when you have finished a list so that I know you need a star - for example Monday Done! make sure I can see it!!!!!!
    4. If you dont have something on the list then it gets deleted - e.g. clean out pets - if no pets no cleaning out done - delete!
    5. Similarly when it says childrens rooms then you should substitute spare room/utility room/conservatory...etc if you have no childrens rooms.
    6. If you have no spare room or any other room not on the weekly list then make sure you do any thing thats on that list that you haven't already done earlier in the week and try to substiture similar type jobs - make an effort please!!
    7. You should not be deleting stuff just because you CBA!!
    8. You may delete stuff if you are not physically fit to do something!
    9. And for goodness sake remember that the stars are for FUN - there will be no discrimination - no sulking - no striking - no bribing- no cheating - or there will be no stars!!! so there!!

Last week there were a whopping 182 stars awarded with 13 flyers doing all five days lists. Well done everyone! That means 182 rooms were cleaned and sparkling this week. BRILLIANT !!!!
    w/c 09/11 - 182 (13)
    w/c 02/11 - 164 (16)
    w/c 27/7 - 120 (5)
    w/c 06/4 - 202 (21) (new total to beat)

If you're on a mission what the heck am I on????!!!!!!!!!! I dread to think..

I bought the paint for the boys room today.. blue metallic stuff.. for 2 walls and I'll do the other 2 white.. I got carpet trim things for 9 doorways!.. curtain hooks for the girls room and the back room.. though would you believe there were no curtain rings in B&Q so I'll nip to Dunelm tomorrow I think. I also got screws for the boys bedroom door and batteries for annoying christmas singing things and 2 new annoying christmas singing things , though one is for my mother.. and I got a new loo seat. I got 2 tins of undercoat too.

I am off to watch some bubblegum for the brain and copious amounts of tea and then it is bed time!... and I will think of a list for tomorrow too.

I'm in in spirt mainly this week, loads of invigilating and jobs outside of the house but I'll be doing my dailies, hoovering around, changing bed and cleaning the bathroom.

In & double in! Right conferences done so just weekly meeting + kids appointments, time to really get this house sorted. Unforunately last week was just so manic we didn't get the garage started, there is no light in there so that means after meetings I couldn't see enough to do anything. Anyway, this week we're hopefully going to get at least 1 childs room done if not 2, need their PCs in as DS1 was using my laptop for homework & now it's sticky!!!

So I might not do rooms in order, actually I might try.....but the sitting room is a bombsite!

Tomorrow am DS1s review at school which is to see if they can support him with some mainstream access, his results of course will support that & maybe make a school more willing to support it. Just got my fingers crossed we can get this done without a fight!

Hugs to you all & good luck for a productive week for everyone x x x x

PS Matthew is home, all stuck back together again, feeling sorry for himself & a little groggy from his sedation (you get that 'pee off or I'll poke you in the eye' look) but he's doing really well
One day I might be more organised...........
