    Hi,
With six cats and a dog, I know how pricey it can be! You cannot get frontline etc from a supplier, it always has to be through a vet as it is like a "prescription" for animals. Only way I have ever got it cheaper is through a friend getting hold of them in Ireland for about half the price. Apparently it is not as strict over there. Got any mates in Ireland?!

my way round this high cost is to buy items such as 'Frontline plus' from countries where they can be acquired without ref. to vets.

i buy from australia & getting 2 years supply for 3 dogs (to reduce impact of postage) means a savings approaching 40%-50%. never had any problems with customs tax etc.

try this site, even has option to have prices displayed in GBP.
    http://www.vetproductsdirect.com

also discovered that if you cannot find 'Stronghold' medication, then thats because it is known as 'Revolution' outside of UK

    hope this is useful

There was a site I used to use to buy Frontline cheaper but its gone now. Legally Frontline is prescription only in the UK and if you buy from abroad you are really supposed to get a prescription from your vet first.

For drontal I've bought from the following:

    http://www.hyperdrug.com/products.asp?dept=14
    http://www.vetmedic.co.uk/productlist.asp?category=Dogs&subcategory=Dog%20-%20Wormers
    http://www.wormers.co.uk/acatalog/Dog_Cat_Wormers.html

Rather than buying the pipettes from the vet, get the spray bottles because you get much more for your money.

I buy my cats tablets for hyperthyroidism from https://www.bestpetpharmacy.co.uk , they are £25 inc p&p from this site and £38 from my vet. Not sure what frontline normally costs but I would imagine it should be cheaper. You do need a prescription but as long as your vet sees your pets regularly (boosters etc) then they are 'under his/her care' and therefore he/she should give you a prescription.

    Hope this helps
  • Ohh great sites, thank you x
