Laptop for student midwife

Hi!
My mum just started her midwifery course and I want to get her a new laptop she can use. Please recommend one for her. Needs to have wireless capability and reasonable storage (?). My budget is not that much perhaps 300-400£

You can get a Dell 1545 from Tesco for £349, get this in store i believe.

Just don't buy one with a Celeron or Sempron Processor, Try and get one with 'core 2 duo' or one with a processor that starts with either T3*** or T5*** (e.g T3400)

We've had 2 laptops from the Argos clearance centre on ebay both Acer's both very good value. They are refurbished / returned ones they have arrived very quickly 2 - 3 days after ordering. Worth checking them out.

what a lovely daughter you are. i would love to see the look on her face when you give it to her.

our positions were reversed. We bouhgt our dd one, she was 35, and she had just one second hand massive desktop one she had bought fo £15 from a friend, you can imagine the problems she had trying to keep in touch with a boyfriend who had gone to Australia. She just burst into tears and threw her arms around her dads neck when we set the laptop up on the table and told her it was her new computer,
i hope this was because he was standing closer to her than i was. wonderful wonderful feeling. enjoy!!!
