'clubcard plus' / clubcard 2

I have had a 'clubcard plus' account for many years and have used it as a handy way to earn extra points when paying for my shopping (after MOCs :rotfl:of course). Now with the advent of Clubcard 2, I'm not sure that I am still getting these extra points as my total of TPF (tesco personal finance) bonus points does not seem to increase after each purchase. :eek: These points are next to the 'green' bonus points at the end of the till receipt.
I did ask a checkout manager who said that the 'plus' card would no longer get extra points and that Tesco had launched Clubcard 2 to share double points with everyone and that new Clubcard Plus accounts were no longer available anyway.
Can they just stop giving us extra points without any notification? Surely the T&Cs for original account holders cannot be changed like this? :mad:

I'd be very surprised if the original T&Cs couldn't be changed at will - that's usually the case, though some notification would be normal.
I agree that the extra points don't now seem to exist with CC+ - I've seen mixed responses, though. Even Tesco don't seem to know the answer.0 -

I have recently applied for and got a Clubcard plus card.
It was just before the launch of double points on ordinary clubcard.
I haven't used it yet as there doesn't seem much point.
I'm annoyed that when I applied i wasn't told about the double points on the ordinary card. ( Or to be fair perhaps they didn't know)
There doesn't appear to be any incentive now to use Clubcard plus ( set up direct debit now though) so I don't know whether to cancel.
What does anyone else think?

I was shown the letter sent out to all customer service counters and it states that clubcard+ will get the 2 per pound plus 1 for TPF making 3 points per pound spent on CC+ :beer:"Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0

I'd hang on for a while and see how this works out. You were lucky to get a 'plus' card before they stopped issuing them....obviously because of the launch of the new Clubcard 2.
Hopefully Russetred and Wee Bargain Hunter are right and those of us with existing accounts will get triple points :T0 -

Dont forget its double points on fuel when using clubcard+0 -
I can confirm those who have the CC+ should be getting 3 points per £1 spent as oppose to 2 points for shoppers with a normal card.
You get the stated two points per £1 from Tesco
You then get 1 extra TPS point per £1 spent.
Total is 3 points per £1 which is shown on the receipt. Its working for me anyway! It is confusing though as the reciepts are really cryptic- you see a full disection of your points on the receipt which takes about 4 or 5 lines, reading it I'm never totally sure whats what until I have a calculator and several consecutive receipts to compare to!
I would not bother to ask the store staff at the customer service counters- helpful they may want to be but many seem to be clueless as to what the card is "is that a credit card then?" :rolleyes2or "isn't that good that Tesco let you pay off your bills instore" or "wht do you mean it isn't chip and bpin- is it broken" also, I find I have to talk staff through the process of loading up my card wit money, several have taken money off :eek:and handed it back to me! Until I explain I am putting money on it and get told "sorry you can't do that here":doh:
If your not seeing your points go up on one receipt, check the next one- you may see the points from the previous purchase added- they never appear on the receipt you spent them on, the always appear on the following receipt.0
