Hi,
I have just bought a cheap leather jacket from Ebay for my son, he is doing a performance of the T Birds from Grease. The jacket smells really strongly of cigarette smoke. Does anyone have any tips for getting rid of the smell? As this is a school production and my son is only 15 I think the smell is inappropriate! lol
Thanks
Karen

Hang it out in the fresh air, in your shed or by an open window for as long as you can. That should improve things.0 -
i wipe down my settee with baby wipes, although i don't smoke so don't know if it would remove the smell, but the smell of clean babies bottoms sure outweighs an ashtray...lol0

Thanks to lilynolife - thats worth a try!0 -
Do you have a tumble dryer? If so, put it in on a cold setting or last few minutes of cycle - which should be cold air - which forces air through and past item helping to remove odour. This does work with no damage to clothing!I'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!0
