Can you freeze cooked chips and then warm them in the microwave ? if you could it would be handy for taking to work.

I've done it, but they can go a bit soggy.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0

I think IIRC the trick is not to fully cook them, same as those 'micro chips' are done. Make great ones for cheesy chips however
or with chilli and cheese on
One day I might be more organised...........

I cut too many home made chips tonight and was wondering if it is ok to freeze them? If so, do you have to defrost them before cooking? We all prefer home made ones here rather than frozen chips that taste nothing like potato, so if anyone can advise me I'd be grateful:o£2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.0

bump, in case it gets missedMummy to two girls, 4 & 1, been at home for four years, struggling to contend with the terrifying thought of returning to work.0

Are they cooked? If not I woudl suggest par poiling them and then you can cook from frozen. if you have cooked them then yes, you can freeze them (I freeze anthing!) but I am unsure about the best way to reheat them.0
