Competition Entries and Playing the Game
9. The Competition will (subject to section 3 above) run on the Website from Friday 26th October 2007 to Friday 4th April 2008.
10. Entries to the Competition must be received by the start of the first scheduled Game Month (00:00 BST on Friday 26th October 2007) in order to benefit from the first property data-based price fluctuations. From then on, only entries submitted before the start of each Game Month (as set out below) will benefit from that month's property data-based price fluctuations. Only entries submitted before 00:00 BST/GMT on each Friday will benefit from that week's news-based bonuses (each week starts at 00:00 each Friday).
11. Only one entry per person is allowed and any additional entries by one person will be made invalid and will not qualify for any prizes. Entries submitted under the same email address will be considered as multiple entries and are not allowed, and will not qualify for any prizes. Where a winner has been selected and Channel 4 discovers or has reasonable grounds to believe the winner has made more than one entry, Channel 4 reserves the right to select an alternative winner. Any further winner will be selected on the same criteria as the original winner and will be subject to these Rules.
12. Entrants must choose a name for their portfolio of up to 25 characters long. Fantasy League reserves the right to reject any portfolio name that in its sole judgement is inappropriate or offensive, in which case the portfolio in question will be given the entrant's name.
13. Property Selection - Only properties listed in the official 4Homes Fantasy Property Game property lists may be selected and these do not include location and property type combinations in which there were less than 50 sales recorded by the Land Registry in the figures released in August 2007 (which covers transactions that took place in July and August 2007). Purchase prices for properties in England and Wales are based on the average selling price (to the nearest £100) of property sales officially recorded by the Land Registry in the figures released in August 2007 (which covers transactions that took place in July and August 2007). Entrants must select a portfolio of 10 properties within their £2m budget, consisting of eight properties from England and Wales, along with two properties from overseas. The eight properties in England and Wales must be made up of the following: two detached properties, two semi-detached properties, two terraced properties, two flats/maisonettes. Overseas properties are separated into deluxe and basic properties for each of the 20 overseas locations. The deluxe properties are all priced at £200,000 and the basic properties at £100,000. Entries that do not conform to these selection criteria will be rejected.
14. Entries correctly submitted through the Website will result in an acceptance message on the Website confirming the entrant's portfolio details. The Fantasy League computer record of each entry will be deemed to be the entry. Entrants will also receive an email confirming entry of their portfolio and chosen username (email address) and password. This will be needed to login to the Website, access the entry and make portfolio changes. If you do not receive this email you should use the support facility on the Website to contact Fantasy League. 15. Once registered, entrants can choose to create a Friends League and then join with a group of other entrants to play in a Friends League. All entrants taking part in a Friends League will continue to be entered into the overall Competition as well as their Friends League.
