Cdisount don't refund! Please avoid if you want peace of mind about returning items

Please can I advise anyone from using cdiscount.co.uk. Their aftersales is absolutely apalling. Collections don't get collected correctly ie the delivery company don't recognise the fact that they delivered two items but refuse to pick up anymore than two.
On top of that, this order was sent back at the end of Jul and has still not been refunded nearly four weeks later! 8 phone calls and all we were told was, "I forward an email to the refund dept and they'll sort it by the end of the day."
Another order was canceled before it was sent but still had not been refunded (over £150 so not a small omount and the same excuse was given).
I wish they would sort their ideas out because they do offer some good deals but their customer service sucks big time!

thanks for the warning, my mum was looking into buying their wardrobes.
my biggest fear is paying so much money to crappy companies, and not recieving it back.. i hate the stress.

On the other side of the coin I ordered a laptop from CDiscount.
Unfortunately it arrived without a plug in the box. I phoned them up and they arranged collection at my convenience, the laptop was collected when they said it would be and a second was promptly dispatched which arrived today.
I found their customer service advisors charming and helpful and would happily order from them again.0 -
I had trouble getting a refund under the Distance Selling Regs from these guys. See my posts in the consumer rights thread. However I got it all sorted with a call to consumer direct (trading standards) and a recorded delivery letter. Had a phone call from head office the morning the letter arrived, with the answer I wanted.0

I got a suit from them which was the correct size but was a bit on the small side. I phone them and they arranged for collection. The money was refunded to my credit card straight away.I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!

Well I have just ordered a computer from them see post on Techie Stuff so fingers crossed will let you know its due this week.
my daughter uses them she has had bedroom stuff and swings no problems .0 -
Just to update, it seems they have had a glitch with the system and I received an email via hotukdeals cdiscount member stating all the refunds had been processed on friday 28th.
Checked my bank a/c today and true to their word, the money was there.:beer:

I went on that web site a few days ago now when I close my firefox it always deletes cookies that happens several times a day. Yet today when I run superantispyware and scan for spuware I found 3 tracking cookies from that web site

I have used C Discount a few times and always found them to be very good, my refund was processed right away and customer services have been very helpful.:money:0

I had used C Discount a few times without problem, but placed a fairly large order at begining of last month, they took money straight away from my card. Been told was delay due to a security check by an outside company, then told on 20th of last month,they havent got the product in and will get a refund showing on card within 2 to 3 days.
2 phone calls last week and they STILL have my money. NOT impressed. If they want to borrow money they should use a bank like anyone else does.Nope.... Still cant think of owt interesting to put here.0 -
