Just over 2 weeks to go to the big day and we were in bed last night, cat plonked on top of us, oh moved, cat fell down between us with claws out - and the end result is I've got a massive cat scratch/gouge across my face in a very attractive manner.
Going to make for some interesting photos if it doesn't heal very very quickly! (Plus it flipping well hurts). Worst can be hidden if I wear my glasses I think (was going to wear contacts on the day) - but still.... grrr.
Furball is now firmly in the dog house, oh is now firmly inthe dog house.

You should really have that checked out, and maybe get an anti-tetanus jab. Cat scratches can be nasty. Not wanting to worry you or anything. You have to bear in mind what else they do with their paws
.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

See if you can get hold of some Res-Q from Burt's Bees. It quickstarts the healing process and minimises the after effects. I stick it on all cuts, scrapes and insect bites. For me, and I can't speak for anyone else, I've used it on cuts where I would expect to get a mild scar and ended up with unblemished skin.
This is what it looks like and costs;

I've not used that company but it looks like they may have some in stock.
Best of luck,

along the same line of thought I use Aloe vera.
I have a plant on my kitchen window for just this kind of thing but you can buy it in gel form and Holland and Barrats etc.
Its antibiotic and promotes quicker healing of wounds. It might be worth trying."Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye" - Miss Piggy0 -

had this happened yesterday you could have got 20% off that stuff but still cheaper at debenhams0 -
Read the aloe vera labels first if you go with that, I got some gel from boots and you couldn't use it on open cuts. OH has just got a liquid from the chemist that you can use on open cuts. I use savalon but couldn't say how quickly it makes things heal.
Whatever you use use it regulary to make sure it's effective as poss but 2 weeks should be plenty of time0 -
Two weeks is plenty of time for it to heal as long as you follow one very very important rule:
DO NOT PICK AT IT, NOPE NOT EVEN ONCE, NO NOT TO SEE IF ITS HEALED UNDERNEATH THE SCAB, DO NOT PICK AT IT AT ALL!!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -
I use E45 and find it helps, but not if you've still got that goey scabbyness on it.Bump due 22nd September0

You've probably done it already but remember to clean it thoroughly with an antiseptic wipe (or similar) then start your course of healing cream applications.
I've found this really helps the healing process as there can be nasties still lurking in the cut...0 -
Oh I'm not worried about nasties... get regular cat scratches living with the furball and she's indoor so I know where she's been.
Just have a blooming stupid additional eyebrow in an attractive red effect across me face!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0
