Lisburn may be too far for you but we dealt with a guy called Mervyn in Roadside motors. He was very easy to deal with and we got a great car for the money.

Phillips Autos on the Rosetta Road, Belfast. Dealt fairly with me and I've gone back to them for servicing and they're reasonable, in my opinion.

I just bought a new car from Donnellys in Mallusk. They were recommended to me by 2 friends and my brother!

Stephen in sales was friendly and not pushy, very helpful (I ask a lot of questions lol). Service have been helpful as I had to get a small niggle fixed in the boot lid.

Out of all the car dealers I have been to they have been the most efficient so far.

Another vote for Donnellys in Mallusk (they have other branches around the province) bought a car for £3,000 with 0% interest free and reasonable £600 trade in. Quality servicing too.

I bought a 9 month old Civic from John Mulholland in Randalstown last June. I can't recommend them enough. I found them to be honest, down to earth guys and excellent customer service. They also gave me a really good trade in price for my old car.

The sales man told me that they can source cars too (maybe all dealers can do this tho!). My brother's girlfriend went to them and they found her a nearly new Golf in her price range.

I coudnt find a loan rate than was cheaper than the company they used either.

I'd definately buy another car from them.

    Good luck finding one :)

Depends what you are looking for, I have found Prentice BMW in Portadown very good to deal with and keen to deal unlike other NI BMW dealers, if interested I can give you the name of the person I have dealt with

I second that. we previously used bavarian but found prentices extremely keen to do business. They gave me a full £2500 more than bavarian recently for my x5 when i was selling it AND had given me £4500 off the car when i bought it - far more than any other dealer - even the internet brokers.

Not as glitzy as bavarian, but keen and enthusiastic - Laura was the sales person i dealt with and their finance guy Brett is fantastic - he really pushes hard to make the finance deal work for you - which is what its all about.

I dealt with Laura too and found her keen but not pushy, she even offered to bring the car I was interested in to my office for me to have a look at as I couldn't get away.

Bavarian were great when I bought from them originally but when I wanted to change to a diesel 4 months later they offered me 4k less for it in a trade in, although I live 5 minutes from them I will drive the extra half hour to deal with Prentice in the future.
