burgers.....what can i do with 'em?

i bought some cheap frozen burgers the other day....and they're HORRIBLE!!

Don't really want to throw them away, so i just wondered if anyone had any ideas what i could do with them, to make them taste a bit better?

You could mince or chop them up finely, add herbs etc and some breadcrumbs or a pack of stuffing mix and shape them into balls and cook them in the oven.

But really if they are that foul, do you want to eat them? Heaven knows what is in them!!! If you can afford to, I'd throw them and chalk it down to experience.

Bin em - no doubt the are full of all sorts of non meat products and meat by products that have been mechanically recovered (gristle, tendons, noses etc)

Do yourself a favor, get to a good butcher and ask him for some FRESH STEAK MINCE, (My butcher cuts a lump of steak and minces it to order) and make your own next time!
  • Bung them in a quiche chopped up.

  • If really, really want to eat them? then I would add lots of chopped onions and relish, sort of hot-dog style, and put them in a bap/burger bun.

That way you would get the er, meaty texture, but you would "drown" the taste of the actual meat........................

But, I agree with the others, I kinda think we are what we eat so, the choice is yours.

OMG. Chuck 'em. You'd be better off having egg and chips (organic eggs of course ; ). I knew someone who found a cow's eyelid in a cheap burger, not even a step up from dog food. They're just full of the crap that the abattoirs can't sell to any self respecting person(s). Probably loads of chemicals, flavour enhancers etc as well. Your body is a temple! Treat it with respect!

I personally wouldn't have any objection to the cow's eyelid or the pig's oink or tail. All quite traditional, to not waste anything of an animal that we eat.

What I'd be suspicious of is what extras have been added to it...E numbers, rancid meat, sawdust, what have you, not to mention probably all the fat minced up and put in it as well (also quite traditional, but we are not active enough these days to be able to eat a ton of fat with impunity.)
