Afternoon folks
Just been into my local Tesco (Bradley Stoke, Bristol) during my lunch break and they had an offer on for 5 Energy Saving light bulbs for 40p.
These are the 9watt Tesco own-brand 'greener living' bulb which are normally £1 each. Bargain!

Ah..well that explains the offer in Sainsbury's I saw last night which was 5 Energy Saving bulbs for 50p - and yet they are marked as being 99p each.
Thought I'd misread it - but given the Tesco offer you've just posted, I guess not!.
Thanks

the bulbs in sainsburys are philips 11w lifetime guarantee bulbs and whilst they are advertised at 50p for 5.they scanned at 42p for 5 , so a good deal.they were in a promotional box near the entrance in my store.0

And I was pleased early last year at 3 for £1.00!0 -
They should have been 39p for 5. Its down to the way the till works out the VAT reductions. It does it as if each bulb was charged at the full price off 99p each not taking into account the multibuy offer when you buy 5.janequeenie wrote: »the bulbs in sainsburys are philips 11w lifetime guarantee bulbs and whilst they are advertised at 50p for 5.they scanned at 42p for 5 , so a good deal.they were in a promotional box near the entrance in my store.0 -
hey,
does anyone know if the lightbulbs offered by asda or tesco include lightbulbs with the smaller/thinner screwcap attachment
or if this type of bulb are offered at a discount at anyother supermarket/shop?0 -
Homebase are selling bayonet and screw fit Philips Genie energy saving bulbs 40W and 60W. You can mix and match five for a pound - superb :T0
