Here is a competition for Stones fans! BritFilms TV are giving away 5 posters of the rare variety. There are only 300 of these babies in existence and you can win one simply by answering a question that Trigger could manage.

I don't mind the newsletter, it keeps me up to date with what is happening in the world of film plus they sometimes have exclusive comps and giveaways on there too. But it is best avoided if you are not in to films.

Yes, and I feel really sorry if some of the 60 odd people who have already thanked Mick Magner have duplicated their entries, and been disqualified.

These comps have often been posted before, and can have different end dates - we are asked to post comps with different end dates in different threads, as otherwise they create a nightmare for the people who look after the comps board.

For example, the Spartans comp has already been posted here.

The poster is already aware of this, and has previously promised not to do this again, here.

There was also an issue here.

I'm going to PM divadee about this now, to ask her to try to sort this out.

It is just not fair, and abuse of the system, when you know twice over - I haven't searched any further back, because I actually want to spend my time comping!! - that you should not be putting people in this situation, whatever your intentions.

sorry mate i didn't mean to abuse the system there - I just thought I was giving people a leg up. I won't add any others in future. I am sorry about that, I posted the others seperately, and just thought I add those on in case there were any new comers - I am getting the hang of this now, so will sort that out.

Ricky, lighten up there fella. I don't think Mick was trying to abuse the system - he was just trying to be helpful. I used to do the same thing every week with competitions I used to post from the BritFilms site and I used to get a shed load of thank yous.

Mick, it would probably be helpful for you to just add a note to say:

"Here are the answers to the other competitions on the BritFilms site, but please remember that you can only enter each competition once."

Thanks everyone I will bare that in mind, but to ensure people didn't get disqualified i emailed BritFilms to ask if people get disqualified for entering twice and they sent me this;

'No, people do not get disqualified for multiple entires on competitions because if more than three fields contain data that is thr same as another entry then it is simply not processed. We do not look at multiple entries as cheating, however when we find people writing scripts that enter them a ridiculously large amount of times using different data each time then we do remove them from teh competition. That is also why we have to use a capture. Thanks for getting in touch and for visiting the site - good luck.'

So I think it's ok, but not to worry i won't dual post again. Also - i find it amazing that i got a response so quickly, i though web sites were run by robots (except this one Mr Lewis), but those BF fellas seem to be on the ball.

I do believe that it is a real disservice to fellow compers to deliberately and constantly post comps that you know have been posted before, and where you have promised to follow the board guides' requests.

That said, I do apologise for any offence taken, as none was meant - my intentions were to protect people from being disqualified - the email reply is quite a revelation...

Oh, and you're hardly new to something when two different compers have pointed something out to you twice before, and you then repeat the same thing a third time.

this is why I don't post comps on this board because this is what you get off some people. Ok fine he might not be "new" but I do still think your comments were a bit harsh, so lets just agree to disagree.
