The Tightwad Gazette and Tightwad Gazette 2 are absolutely the best and most inspiring books on frugality that I have found. I read about them on the 'Living on $12,000 a Year' thread, which I think you will find interesting.

I paid 1p plus postage from Amazon. Both DH and I have read them twice and they have really boosted our moneysaving methods.

I tried to get them from the library but they don't have them. I got 'Frugal for Dummies' but I thought that was quite disappointing and I am glad I didn't pay for it.

Moanymoany are you aware that there are actually 3 Tightwad Gazette books ? The Complete Tightwad Gazette is a compilation of all 3 ;)

I have the complete Tightwad Gazette and I completely hated it.Mary Hunt as some good books out also try Alvin Hall's books
  • I like Alvin Hall's book "What Not To Spend", it covers a bit of everythinglike emotions, dealing with debt, budgeting, financial goal setting and investing. It has really helped me.
