FREE sauage rolls at Asda

Options
I picked up 2 packs of Asda sausgae rolls (ready cooked packs of 6 large sausage rolls from the chiller cabinet) which had a SEL of £1.46(?) each or 2 for £2. After going through the tills I noticed the discount hadn't come off and so I went to the customer service desk to claim my difference back. I was given the difference with a smile, and then presented with a £2 Asda gift card as I had been over-charged - this meant I got my 12 sausage rolls free of charge :D

  • Asda normally (if they remember or can be bothered) give a £2 gift card if THEY have made a mistake as had happenned here. Not just Sausuage Rolls - anything that is mispriced instore

  • My DD purchased a notebook in Asda - SEL was 9p, she was charged 10p. Took her to CS and she got her 1p back (much to the amusement of the CS staff) and was given a £2 gift card.

With this she purchased a little locket. About a week later, it went rusty. We returned it to Asda but didn't get very far with replacement/refund. I then wrote on her behalf to Asda and complained - result: an apology and a £10 gift card.

DD was over the moon, her 1p overcharge resulted in £10 to spend. She's only 8. I expect her to be a millionaire by the time she's 25.

Asda's policy is to award 1 x £2 gift card per item, you could have got 2 x gift card as you were overcharged for two items not one.

Together we can make a difference.
  • Hi,
Unfortunately the £2 per item doesn't work in my local Asda. My friend was overcharged on 3 bottles of mouthwash by 50p per bottle and I accommpanied her to return them. She was given 1 x £2 asda gift card and when I said, I understood it was a gift card per item, she said no and the added bonus of a look worthy of the devil! I came home and checked on this web site and found the info you have just posted i.e. per item. I should have gone back but didn't but I know in future to stand my corner. Sally

"What happens if I am overcharged?
If you have been overcharged in any of our stores we will gladly refund the difference (if you have been overcharged) and give you a £2 Gift card voucher for each product you have been mischarged for."

The phrase "for each product" is a problem. Several times I have argued over this with our local CS manager. She maintains if you are overcharged on the same item more than once, you have only purchased "one product" and therefore are only entitled to one gift card.

Mind you, it has taken three or for misprices for her to even acknowledge the misprice policy!

And as for the incident of the reduced price sticker not being scanned by c/o and it not being a misprice because the store hadn't been at fault - the c/o had.............:rotfl:
