Sorry if this is in the wrong place or if everybody already knows about this.
A few weeks ago I was checking the price of Bad Girls Series 5 Boxset on Amazon.co.uk and it was £22.97, but when I went to purchase it again a week or so later it went up to £29.97, I waited approx a week and the price remained the same so I reluctantly purchased it for £29.97 as I was nearing the end of series 4.
Yesterday I was browsing Amazon again and it showed that series 5 was now back to £22.97 so I emailed Amazon to query the price change and they emailed back to say:
"We are only able to adjust the price of an order in instances where
less than thirty days have passed between the date on which an order
was dispatched and the time that an item is reduced in price on our
site.
I have therefore requested a refund of 7.00 GBP to your payment card.
This amount reflects the difference between the price you were
charged and the current discounted price. The refund should appear
as a credit on your next bank statement."
So I am getting a £7 refund!
Check back on the prices of things you have purchased in the last month from Amazon and email them if they have been reduced in price within 30 days of being dispatched and they should refund the difference like they have for me!
It would be nice to hear if anyone else has managed to get any money back.
