Aldi Super 6 from Monday 30th March for 4 weeks

Salad Potatoes - 1kg

Celery - 1 bunch

Broccoli - 375gm(? maybe a few gm less)

Fine beans - packet

Kiwi fruit - x 5/6

Fun size apples - 7 (small lunch box for kids size )


All will retail at 49p :beer:

    They operate 4-5 different regional buying offices and offers will vary between 4 and 5 weeks depending on region :rolleyes: .

    I think you must be unlucky deanos. I am impressed by the quality and freshness of most of Aldi fruit and veg in my local store. The red grapes in their current offer have been lovely. The only veg I don't buy there are potatoes - I splash out on Sainsbury's TTD Vivaldi ones as they are well worth the extra.

    I have had a few bad things from Aldi but it's generally very good, like deanos I check it well.

    Oh dear !

    Broccoli that normally comes from Spain this time of year has got problems with all the cold weather & rain Spain has had in last week or so and there has been less than 10% in store as to what is being ordered !

    Fine Beans that normally come from various parts of West Africa ( kenya etc) have had rains also so they have not picked them.

    Any of the above 2 products that are going into store are being picked off by market people and restaurant owners who are buying them all taking the labels off and selling them for 3 times the price.

    :mad: Broccoli from a wholsealer today cost £18.00 for 6kg and the market traders are buying it for the equivelent of less than £6.00 for 6kg in Aldi !

    Ask your local Aldi mananger why they have no product be interesting to see what they say !

    IF you want Broccoli and Beans get in early ! :D
