Making real (easy) cash with Pigsback - info & guide

Hi all. I know there is already a thread on pigsback in the freebies board which has been brilliant, but I just wanted to let the posters in DFW know that there is a way of recieving cheques though pigsback, rather than vouchers (which lets face it will stretch further).

Basically all you need to join pigsback is an email address. Then all you have to do is follow the very helpful guide in the freebies board (clicking on adverts, signing up for newsletters, answering quizzes, etc) until you have a multiple of 1000 points. (As reference it can take as few as 7 days to get to a thousand points). The only (minor) catch is you need to be a member for 10 days before you can redeem your points, but some newsletters/offers can take a few days to pay out anyway.

One of the offers you'll do is piggypoint poker with betfair. It 'costs' 100 points (£1) to join but you get 500 back the first time you play no matter how rubbish you are! So a profit of £4 (and the chance of more if you're good at poker).

Then when your 10 days are up you can redeem a £10 betfair voucher for every 1000 piggypoints. All you need to do is enter your betfair username - you'll already have this. There is no need to make a deposit into betfair at any time. They take a day or so to go into your betfair account - then click withdraw - withdraw by cheque, and voila! A few days later a free £10 cheque drops through your door :)

Sorry if this is old news or a repeat thread. But I was so happy to have done this (bit sick of eating at pizza hut!) and I know every £10 counts especially on here. Good luck and happy pigsbacking!

we haad sussed this out as well. ( no offence intended) we are going to start doing it as we have loads of points and all the other vouchers cost more than the voucher value to buy so id rather do this. all helps towards christmas

In my opinion, Pigsback is lots easier than Quidco - regular instant points, easy to track signups, fairly quick customer services. One thing though - you have to sign up to a lot of e-newsletters for points, so I have a 'spam/messenger' email account which I use, and keep my 'work/friends' one free of junk!

None taken! Glad you're benefitting! I forgot to mention the points value - 1000 piggy points is £10 in cash to you. But a £10 Boots voucher is 1150 points and a £10 pizza hut one is 1100 - so it is better value too.
  • I wouldn't have known about this one unless you had mentioned it - thank you!

The other pigsback thread is quite a lot to go through and mainly I found just the quiz answers and competitions, so if anyone has any other tricks like this one please could they add it to this thread?!

    :T
Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you are usually right.
  • Thanks KittyKate - I've just joined Pigsback this week & am still finding my way around, so this is useful.

I've been learning poker quite recently - haven't been brave enough to play for real money yet (and prob won't for a long while yet!), but who knows, maybe I'll actually win something on pigsback for free! :D

I really would reccomend the pigsback thread. It's a lot to go through but a fantastic thread and the posters all work hard to provide the daily answers to quizzes, new ways of making piggypoints, and a great poster called Jules posts a daily link to the crossword competition - lots of posters have won 1000 piggypoints thanks to her hard work.

But I will cover the 'basics' for the absolute beginners:

    1. When you join up at http://www.pigsback.com add all your details and sign up for the 'sizzler' newsletter and click all the tickboxes for your interests. Once you've been through the signup you'll get 150 piggypoints.

    2. Every Monday (and the day you sign up) you'll see advertisements with purple boxes around them - these are 'clickthroughs' or CT's - you get an instant 10 points for each you click. Info on these in the pigsback thread in freebies.

    3. Current weekly quizzes are for Toucan (20ppts) London (10pp) and Travel (10pp). Again the answers are given in the pigsback thread.

    3. Sign up for Reporo and buy a CD or DVD for 50p (ok yes this one is a spend but a DVD for 50p! bonus xmas pressie lol) and you get 500 points for the first order. (More info and a guide on the pigsback site itself).

    4. Sign up for an ebay account and make a bid (it doesnt have to be a winning bid). 300 piggy points.

    5. Sign up for various e-newsletters - beauty, travel, london, liverpool, motley fool, australia, aer lingus are all the ones I can think of but I'm sure there are more. 10 - 100 piggy points (join lightspeed surveys for 300 points - you dont actually have to do any surveys!)

    6. Do the Piggypoint poker with betfair and make 400 points (after the joining fee) for your first game.

    7. There are LOADS of daily quizzes. See the pigsback thread, they even provide links (told you they were nice!)

    - there are probably hundreds more ways to make points but as you can see you can make £10 or £20 easily within a month :)
