No question as yet - might be on later / tomorrow?

To celebrate the DVD release of ‘Mongol: The Rise to Power of Genghis Khan’ on September 29 2008, Time Out, Universal Pictures (UK) Ltd and leading adventure travel company Explore (https://www.explore.co.uk) to offer one intrepid cineaste the chance to win a tour of Mongolia – on Explore’s ‘Land of the Great Khan’ adventure.

The prize includes a 15-day exploration of Outer Mongolia, a land of dramatic deserts, endless steppe and forested mountains. On this trip you will discover the fascinating lifestyle of the nomadic people that roam the vast, untameable region. From the steppe to the Gobi desert and to the edge of Siberia, exploring the city of Ulaan Baatar and staying eight nights in a Ger camp.

An illuminating portrayal of the legend of Genghis Khan, award-winning Russian director Sergei Bodrov’s epic is a powerful account of the conqueror’s early life and rise to power against a climate so harsh only the hardest and most intrepid survive.

Born in 1162 into a savage culture of feuding tribes and idiosyncratic traditions, the child Genghis, Temudgin (played by Japanese actor Tadanobu Asano, 'Zatoichi: The Blind Samurai'), becomes prey after his clan leader father is poisoned. Cast as a fugitive of the harsh terrain of the Mongolian steppe, Temudgin falls in love with young Mongol girl Borte.

Temudgin goes to war in order to unite the warring tribles, culminating in an epic battle where Temudgin must fight his childhood friend and deadliest enemy and secure his future as Khan.

G'luck! :D
