A cute and cuddly blue iguana could be yours!
Brought back from imminent extinction in the 1990s when it was estimated that just ten remained in existence, the Blue Iguana (Cyclura lewisi), endemic to Grand Cayman and its largest land animal, can now be seen roaming freely in the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park. However, the Blue Iguana Recovery Programme, headed up by British conservationist Fred Burton MBE, still needs your help to reach its goal of restoring 1000 Blue Iguanas to their natural habitat.
Please help us spread the word about this magnificent reptile, which can grow to five feet in length and turns a distinctive powder blue colour in the warm sunshine.
As an exclusive offer to BBC Wildlife readers, the first 200 email requests for information about visiting the Cayman Islands will receive a free cuddly blue iguana. Email info-uk@caymanislands.ky now and remember to include your postal name and address!
